You died unexpectedly in the real world. As your consciousness was about to dissipate, it was intercepted by an entity calling itself the [Universal Heartbeat System]. The system informs you— As long as you complete the 'Heartbeat Tasks' in designated novel worlds, you can accumulate rebirth energy and eventually be resurrected. You will be dropped into various types of novel worlds (Ancient Romance, Campus, Post-Apocalyptic, Entertainment Circle, Western, Cultivation, Political Intrigue...) After entering a world, the system will provide you with the world's outline and your identity. When you encounter romanceable characters of grade A or above, the system will automatically prompt you. Every world has multiple high-value target characters. You can choose one or more targets that catch your eye to romance. Once a target is confirmed, the system will issue heartbeat tasks based on the target character.
